BT acquires TalkTalk to protect customer service continuity

BT has acquired TalkTalk Telecommunications Limited and PlatformX Communications Limited out of administration to protect continuity of service for 2.5 million customers. The company said the deal was aimed at avoiding material harm to vulnerable customers and key emergency services, with a regulatory review expected in the coming weeks.
