Salesforce has appointed a new Co-CEO alongside publishing financial results for the third quarter of the 2022 fiscal year.
Bret Taylor has been Salesforce’s President and Chief Operating Officer since 2019, before that serving as Chief Product Officer. His promotion sees him serving alongside Marc Benioff as CEO, with Benioff remaining Chair.

“I’m grateful that Marc and our Board have put their faith in me to help lead Salesforce through our next chapter,” said Bret Taylor. “Marc has been my mentor, my greatest supporter and my trusted friend for years. Partnering with him to lead the company he co-founded 22 years ago is an enormous privilege.
The announcement was timed with third quarter results that showed continued growth, with revenue up 27% year-over-year, and FY22 revenue guidance up 24% year-over-year.
“We delivered another phenomenal quarter, fueling strong revenue growth, margin and cash flow,” said Marc Benioff. “Salesforce is more relevant and strategic than ever as every company accelerates their digital transformation journey. Just as we’ve helped our customers navigate the pandemic, we’re now guiding them toward greater growth, customer success, health and safety, and trust. With the tremendous strength of our Customer 360 platform and Slack, we’re on track to reach $50 billion revenue in FY26.”
