ControlUp Employee Experience Management Raises $100mn

Digital employee experience management company ControlUp has announced its latest funding round.

The company's solutions are aimed at enabling effective remote working environments by giving IT teams insights and end-to-end visibility into the digital employee experience. It leverages AI and machine learning to solve problems with system performance in real time, with customers including four of the top six global telecommunication companies.

The company’s latest $100mn funding round was co-led by K1 Investment Management and JVP and brings total funds raised since its founding to over $140mn.

“This funding round will be used to hire talent to scale up our workforce, invest in our channels, increase our geographic footprint, and continue to evolve our technology to make remote work better,” Asaf Ganot, CEO & Co-Founder at ControlUp told us.

Features of the platform include proactive monitoring and enabling employees to access the necessary applications wherever they are working. It framed its success in part due to the explosion in remote working caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to move away from legacy IT systems that can’t deliver in the new hybrid working normal.

“We give IT real-time visibility into system status, with the ability to resolve help desk calls faster, and even handle potential system issues before they happen. All this translates to fewer headaches, lower costs, higher productivity, and happier people," said Asaf Ganot.

Last month, the company partnered with virtualisation technology company VMware on a range of work from anywhere solutions on the VMware Horizon platform, including ControlUp Remote DX, which enables end-to-end visibility into the experience of digital employees, and ControlUp Scoutbees, which alerts IT operations teams via proactive synthetic testing.

“VMware and ControlUp have partnered to bring Horizon customers even greater employee experiences while helping IT simplify operations and reduce cost,” said Asaf Ganot at the time.
