Avaya is expanding its already massive global footprint in a bid to shore up its revenue after a disappointing Q3.
The company announced its OneCloud CCaaS solution will be available in Hong Kong through an expansion of its partnership with local distributor Sen Spirit Technology Limited (SST).
SST plans to work with government agencies, banks, financial institutions, and telecom companies to increase their adoption of cloud communication services. Avaya’s engineers will also be on hand to provide consulting services and technical support.
The announcement comes after the company reported a 21 percent decline in revenue year on year in Q3. Avaya also brought on a new CEO in July, Alan Masarek, Vonage’s former chief executive.
The slump followed a $600 million financing injection announced in June, which CFO Kieran McGrath said would “support and accelerate our business model transformation.”
In a recent interview with CX Today, Zeus Kerravala, Founder and Principal Analyst, ZK Research, said that Avaya’s core market, centered on large enterprises, was still a highly contested one.
